Doctor Who Exhibitions in Scotland

The Story so Far

So far, I have organised four exhibitions. The first was at the Dick Institute, Kilmarnock, in August 1998. It was opened by Dalek designer Ray Cusick and drew just under 12,000 visitors—four times greater than the football exhibition which preceeded it there; of course, that did not have the advantage of certain creatures from the planet Skaro…

The second ran for eight weeks between May and July 1999, and 5,500 people came to Viewfield House in Nairn to see it. This was followed in August 1999 by an exhibition at Forfar’s Meffan Institute which was visited by around 4,000 people.

The most recent exhibition, excluding the one currently running at Stirling, was at Dunfermline’s Pittencrief House Museum which drew around 13,900 visitors and featured a special appearance by Barry Letts and Terrance Dicks.
