Glasgow's "Tardises" [1 of 2] - Doctor Who Exhibitions in Scotland

A Dalek (with Raymond inside) helps publicise the launch of a renovated Glasgow police box in Buchanan Street. The Glasgow police box is not absolutely identical to the London model upon which the Tardis was based, but it is very, very similar. The caption to this photo from The Herald reads:

“Who is it? Duncan Cameron, one of Glasgow’s city-centre tourist and information representatives, gazes into the Tardis in Buchanan Street, blissfully unaware he is being stalked by a Dalek. The familiar blue police box is being used as guide for tourists visiting the city’s Gallery of Modern Art and employs recordings of the voices of the Dr. Who team when giving information.”
